May 30, 2021

Elon Musk is quite possibly the "Guru" for many entrepreneurs. With a following that turns almost cult-like stature, Musk always does things that people say impossible.

The most enthusiastic entrepreneur yet, launched 64 satellites into orbit, is digging deep tunnels to deal with traffics, and has a plan to set a human colony on Mars by 2030.

Here what makes Elon Musk apart from the rest of the entrepreneurs and what enables him to dominate the four major sectors (automobile, space, construction, and solar energy).

Fix the Goal

For Elon Musk, the ultimate goal is to make human beings an interplanetary species. Everything else is just a stepping stone for his ultimate goal. Musk isn't afraid of utilizing all his resources, focus, hard work, and power to accomplish his goals.

One thing to learn from Musk is to put all your efforts and time to learn and understand your goals. Once you decide on your goals, dive deep into them to discover everything about it.

Excruciating Effort

For Musk, failure is not any reason to make him stop doing what he likes. From his excruciating efforts, Musk took a high risk than an average founder. Call it has foolishness, but the tactic has worked well for him.

Failure during its initial stage was inevitable and necessary to succeed. Musk can take failure at face value and doesn't stop for any particular reason.

For today's entrepreneurs, Musk's outlook towards the failure that you should have. It's extremely necessary to succeed in your life and accomplish goals.

Look for Problem Areas

People like to complain more about things instead of solving the problem. Not Elon Musk. When Musk got frustrated about the traffic problem, he solved the problem by starting The Boring Company. The Boring Company solves the traffic problem by building a tunnel system.

To become a successful entrepreneur, try to find problems that need a solution. Seeking out problems that need solutions is a great way to find ideas about problems that people need.

Work Ethics

Elon Musk's work ethics are nearly impossible to follow. But that's something inspirational for other entrepreneurs. Musk reportedly works 100 hours a week for 15 years. When a week is hard, he exceeds up to 120 hours a week and would sleep on the factory's floor many times.

Many of us can't follow such a lifestyle, but it showcases Musk's determination the get things done. You don't need to invest hours in work, but you need to do things when they need to be. It's about prioritizing the things that'll propel your company forward.

Hire Right People

According to Musk, " it's important that every employee must understand what the mission is, what the goal is, and then why they joined the company, they're brought into that overall goal."

As long as the goal is defined and people understand it clearly saying " yes," they agree with the goal when they join the company- so, they are not just joining the company for salary or something like that, but they believe in the company's goals and what the company is doing...

Conclusion

Musk's incredible determination towards the goals and attitude towards failure makes him apart from other entrepreneurs. So, the recipe for success is not how hard you work- but how you think towards your goals.
