Bio: Antoinette Abrahamsen, an ambitious entrepreneur, who bootstrapped and built two subscription box companies from the ground up scaling them to multi-million-dollar companies.
Her entrepreneurial journey began when she was 26 years old and she was creating curated gift baskets for friends that were getting engaged. She quickly realized that many of the gifts her engaged friends needed and wanted were similar and that in order to curate a celebratory basket for each of them she was spending hundreds of dollars. She knew there had to be a solution to help celebrate brides-to-be with everything they need for an affordable price! That’s when she came up with the idea of a subscription box service for brides and launched her first company in 2016 called The Ring Boxes! The Ring Boxes is a bridal subscription box that delivers monthly themed gift boxes to women that are engaged fully tailored to their wedding date. Leading brides-to-be down the aisle from the moment that say “YES” to the magical moment that they say “I DO” and even onto their Honeymoon. Today, The Ring Boxes have shipped close to a million boxes worldwide showering brides-to-be with must have bridal apparel, planning essentials and precious keepsakes to help capture all the exciting moments leading to their big day!
While successfully scaling her bridal subscription box, in 2018, she co-founded a second subscription box company, The Belly Bundle. The Belly Bundle is a pregnancy subscription box that delivers monthly bundled gift boxes to expecting mothers tailored to their due date. Now, a mother of two, Antoinette knew that creating a pregnancy subscription box was always the next step in her entrepreneurial journey, as she herself was preparing to start her own family. The Belly Bundle aligned so well with her Bridal subscription box and she loved being able to continue being a part of all these exciting moments in her customers life journeys! The Belly Bundle continues to scale and has celebrated shipping over 300,000 bundles of joy to expecting mothers!
As Antoinette continued to see exponential growth in both companies, she realized her current suppliers couldn’t keep up. She began to experience quality issues with her products and in 2019, she moved into manufacturing their own products. Moving into manufacturing their own branded products was a game changer for her companies. This allowed Antoinette to control everything about their products quality as well as create original products for her customers that they couldn’t find anywhere else. She is extremely proud of their apparel items that have been raved about by her customers for their high quality, soft and stretchy material! She’s focused on continuing to nurture the community of women associated with her brands and strives to only deliver high quality and useful products for these special moments in their lives.
While her entrepreneurial journey has motivated many, she aspires to inspire young female entrepreneurs to take the first steps into entrepreneurship. She is constantly connecting with other female entrepreneurs to share and grow together.
