Company Name: KB Honey Family

Position in the Company: Director of Marketing and Events

Bio: Born and raised in Canada, Chelsea comes from a long standing family of entrepreneurs.  From a young age she would make crafts to sell to classmates and items to sell at tradeshows alongside her mother, Diane.  She studied sales, marketing and management when she attended Kwantlen Polytechnic University, and continued with this passion into her working career.  At the young age of 18 she was already making top sales at any retail store she worked at (though her experience was minimal then) and was the youngest person ever hired on staff for the Flagship Parasuco store that was once located in Vancouver. Even there she beat out all the experienced sales members with her numbers.

Chelsea quickly moved up the ladder in any company she worked for a realized she had a real passion for marketing and wanted to focus more on that end of business.  This is when she came to work at the KB Honey Family and remains to this day.  Eighteen years of sales and management experience has been prominent in her helping to grow the KB Honey Family name locally and internationally.  Chelsea has been a finalist twice for Surrey’s Women in Business Award due to her professional achievements.  Through her efforts and marketing strategy her family business has been inducted into the BC Food and Beverage Hall of Fame in 2020, won Best Creamed Honey of the Year by Allrecipes.com, and been a finalist for several other awards including, Exporter of the Year, Product of the Year, Business Resiliency (during Covid), and more.

Chelsea is driven, passionate and thinks outside the box on how to grow awareness of the family brands.  She loves working with her family and turning her passions into money making ideas at work and outside of work.  In her spare time Chelsea has volunteered for many community groups on her own as well as through the business.  She began volunteering as a child and has continued throughout her entire life thus far.  Chelsea has volunteered with several groups including, local community groups, BC Cancer Society, SPCA, LAPS, BC 4 Wheel Drive Association (for clean up runs, to clean up the backcountry, toy drives for children at Christmas etc), homeless kitchens, women’s shelters, and more.  She has also donated her own personal time to independently helping the homeless in Vancouver during the cold months, at risk youth, battered women and continues to donate and/or volunteer to whatever cause touches her heart to this day.  Away from work and volunteering, Chelsea loves to go camp, practice photography, and explore nature with her Fiancé Chris, her beloved stepson, and soon to be new baby boy.
